The widow of a police officer killed in the line of duty in 1998 was shocked to learn that the woman convicted of having a role in his murder is set to be released from prison.
According to CBS News, Margaret Mosomillo—widow of NYPD officer Anthony Mosomillo—wasn't even notified of the parole hearing during which parole was granted to Betsy Ramos.
Since Ramos became eligible for parole six years ago, Mosomillo has attended every hearing, but she says that she wasn't even informed that the proceeding would take place.
"Never missed a letter, never missed a parole board hearing," she said.
Ramos had been sentenced to 15 years to life.
