Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Against Minnesota Agency Over Arrest
A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a man who alleged that police officers violated his rights when they arrested him in connection with the fatal shooting of an officer with the Cold Spring (MN) Police Department in 2012.

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a man who alleged that police officers violated his rights when they arrested him in connection with the fatal shooting of an officer with the Cold Spring (MN) Police Department in 2012.
According to the St. Cloud Times, U.S. District Court Judge Paul Magnuson dismissed all claims made by Ryan Larson, who was arrested during the investigation of the shooting death of Officer Tom Decker in 2012.
Larson was jailed for less than a week and released when another man—Eric Thomes—was identified as the likely shooter.

Judge Magnuson said that Larson did not "provide any explanation of a clearly established constitutional violation or even contend that Defendants' actions were unlawful."
Larson has 30 days to appeal the ruling.
