An officer with the Camden (AR) Police Department has been fired following an altercation with a local high school student.
The agency said in an announcement that the altercation took place on Monday between an officer and a student at Camden Fairview High School, and upon completion of an investigation it was determined that the officer violated department policy.
A video of the incident had circulated on social media, drawing criticism of the officer's use of a "chokehold" on the boy.
