An officer with the Jersey City Police Department has emerged as the winner of the "Survivor," television show, winning a $2 million prize for his endurance and persistence in a wide variety of physical and mental challenges.

An officer with the Jersey City Police Department has emerged as the winner of the "Survivor" television show, taking home a $2 million prize for his endurance and persistence in a wide variety of physical and mental challenges on an island in Fiji.

According to NJ.com, Officer Tony Vlachos has won the reality TV show for the second time and was one of 20 past winners of the reality competition show to square off against one another for the 40th season of the series, which premiered in February as "Survivor: Winners at War."

Vlachos is the show's second two-time winner.
