An officer with the Federal Protective Service was shot and killed Friday night n Oakland amid protests over the death of George Floyd.
According to KRON-TV News, 53-year-old Patrick Underwood was seeking to secure the scene of a violent protest when he was shot and killed by an assailant whose name has not yet been released.
A second officer—whose name has not been released—was also injured in the shooting and is presently in critical condition at a nearby hospital.
The FBI and other agencies are investigating the killing of Patrick Underwood as an act of domestic terrorism.
