U.S. Marshalls Offer $5k Reward for Man Who Shot Trooper’s K-9
A Georgia State Patrol K-9 was wounded during a car chase when the suspect fired shots into the trooper’s patrol vehicle. K-9 Armor was sent home Friday to recover, a process expected to take two to four months.

Georgia State Patrol K-9 Armor will face months of recovery after being wounded when a fleeing suspect fired shots during a car chase.
Georgia Department of Public Safety
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Williams, 51, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault against a police officer following a car chase Wednesday in Coweta County.
A Georgia state trooper stopped a Chevrolet Cruise driven by Williams on I-85 Wednesday afternoon. Williams provided his driver’s license to the trooper, then drove away, and the trooper gave chase.
“During the chase, Williams fired a weapon several times from his car at troopers and Coweta County deputies who joined the chase. The troopers returned gunfire,” the GBI said in a statement.
Troopers used several PIT maneuvers to stop the vehicle finally, and the GBI said Williams got out of his car and fired several times at troopers as he ran away. He disappeared into the woods, and authorities do now know if he was injured.
The Georgia Department of Public Safety, in a Friday morning social media post, said that K-9 Armor was heading home from treatment and is facing a two- to four-month recovery process.
