Federal agents on Wednesday arrested a Mississippi man who allegedly sent letters to President Obama and a U.S. senator that were tainted with the poison ricin.
The suspect has been identified as Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Miss.
The FBI has confirmed that a letter addressed to President Obama has "preliminarily tested positive" for ricin, a day after lawmakers said another letter sent to the Capitol Hill office of Sen. Roger Wicker tested positive for the same substance.

Federal agents on Wednesday arrested a Mississippi man who allegedly sent letters to President Obama and a U.S. senator that were tainted with the poison ricin.
The suspect has been identified as Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Miss.
The letter to President Obama was discovered today, a day after lawmakers said another letter sent to the Capitol Hill office of Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) tested positive for the same substance.
Federal agents told NBC News both letters were postmarked April 8 and originated at a post office in Memphis, Tenn. The letters were linked by two common phrases. The writer ended them with "to see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance." Also, both letters were signed, "I am KC and I approve this message."
Curtis is an Elvis impersonator, reports the Jackson Clarion-Ledger.
