The man convicted of killing a Cincinnati police officer during a robbery call in 1978 is now up for parole in the state of Ohio.
According to Cincinnati.com, the killer—Wayne Reed—as well as his accomplice in the crime are now eligible for parole.
Ohio Cop Killer and Accomplice Now Up for Parole
Wayne Reed and Russell Bell have both previously been denied parole.

The accomplice—Russell Bell—was arrested first, and Reed was apprehended soon thereafter. Both were found guilty of aggravated murder and initially sentenced to death. Those sentences were later commuted.
Reed is serving a 22-year to life sentence. Bell is serving a 20-year to life sentence.
Both men have previously been denied parole.
