The 22-year-old man accused of killing Canton (OH) Police Department dog Jethro and firing gunshots at city officers has been indicted on a slew of charges and faces up to 57 years in prison, reports the Canton Repository .
Kelontre D. Barefield was indicted Tuesday by a Stark County grand jury on charges of aggravated robbery, two counts of felonious assault, assaulting a police dog, harassing a police dog, and breaking and entering, said Stark County Prosecutor John D. Ferrero. Several firearm specifications are attached to the charges.
