MA Man Wearing Only Underwear Steals Patrol Car, Police Say

A man wearing only underwear stole a police cruiser near Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA, on Sunday morning and led officers on a low-speed pursuit.

Police responded to the hospital at 8:35 a.m. to help find a 25-year-old man who was running through the parking lot in his underwear, according to a statement from Northampton police.

He entered a cruiser parked on Hospital Road, disabled the transmission lock and drove away, police said. After a brief pursuit through Florence, he returned to the main entrance of the hospital, where he was arrested without incident, MassLive.com reports.
