An encounter with four Escambia County Sheriff's Office deputies last month launched Tyler’s campaign, and on Thursday the boy, dressed in his cape and mask, presented 35 dozen doughnuts, candy and coffee to ECSO deputy sheriffs.
In early August, Tyler and Sheena were in a store near their home at the same time as four ECSO deputy sheriffs. Tyler asked Sheena if he could buy doughnuts and coffee for the deputies because it was his understanding that was their favorite food and beverage.
Tyler used his own money that day and bought mini-donuts for the deputies.
Sheena was a police officer several years ago when the family lived in Virginia. She said Tyler developed an infatuation with law enforcement around that time, and he grilled her on details from her work day and asked to hear stories, the
Pensacola News Journal
reports.
