Ballistic Armor Co. announced a strategic investment commitment that will strengthen and accelerate its multi-year transition from a third-party tactical equipment retailer to a premium innovator and U.S. manufacturer of advanced protective systems.
Over the past three years, Ballistic Armor Co. has undergone a deliberate and disciplined transformation. The company has moved beyond distributing third-party products and now designs proprietary platforms and builds next-generation helmet systems known for exceptional comfort, fit, and performance.
The new investment commitment fuels the next major phase of that transformation by supporting expanded U.S. manufacturing, strengthening its supply chain, and enabling the introduction of several new products currently in development.
“We’ve spent the last three years reshaping Ballistic Armor Co. into a product-driven, manufacturing-focused organization,” said Alex Poythress, CEO and co-founder of Ballistic Armor Co. “We’ve shifted from selling a carefully curated selection of tactical equipment to engineering our own—from importer to innovator, from retailer to American manufacturer. Our vision is to dramatically expand access to high-quality, American-made ballistic protection for law enforcement across the country.”
As part of the announcement, Ballistic Armor Co. welcomes a new partner, Eugene Wallace of Murchison, Texas, whose involvement supports the company’s ambitious vision. While financial details remain private, the partnership provides both capital support and additional strategic capacity for the company’s next stage.
“The team at Ballistic Armor Co. is executing a bold, forward-looking vision,” Wallace said. “Their shift toward U.S. manufacturing and smart product innovation is exactly what this industry needs. I’m excited to contribute to the next evolution of a company that is leading through integrity, innovation, and mission-focused execution.”
Ballistic Armor Co. will continue introducing manufacturing enhancements and new protective platforms designed to reset expectations on price, performance, and availability. The company’s expansion plan includes increased U.S.-based tooling, assembly, and finishing operations, along with new capabilities designed to reduce lead times and further elevate product quality.
