Sgt. Kevin Blakeley, 52, was notified at 7 a.m. Wednesday he would face disciplinary action as a result of an internal investigation. The 28-year veteran officer then took out his service weapon and killed himself.

Mexican Cartels Escalating Presence In New York
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement went from spending 13,472 hours in 2009 to more than 30,000 hours last year. The feds are also seizing record amounts of firearms and cash. In 2009, the feds seized more than $35 million and 57 firearms.

Officer Kenneth Moreno allegedly took advantage of a Gap employee who had given the officer the keys to her East Village apartment. Officer Moreno's partner Officer Franklin Mata has also been charged for apparently helping to cover up the crime.

Three More Bodies Found at Long Island Beach
So far, eight women have been found in Suffolk County between Gilgo Beach and Oak Beach since last summer. At least four were Craigslist hookers. Police are still searching for escort Shannan Gilbert, who has been missing since December.

Three Chicago Officers Stripped of Powers for On-Duty Sex
The initial two officers noticed the woman on Wednesday walking and crying. The officers apparently gave her a ride in their marked Chevy Tahoe SUV, and she reported having sex with one in the passenger seat. The three officers apparently went into the woman's apartment, played strip poker, and had sex with the woman.
