Though supporters and detractors had gathered outside the Kenosha, WI, courthouse Friday, no protests had materialized by Friday afternoon after Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges.

Rittenhouse faced five charges for shooting three men, killing two of them, during protesting and rioting over the Jacob Blake shooting by Kenosha police last summer.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has activated 500 National Guard members to be prepared for duty in Kenosha if requested by local law enforcement.

Activists have planned two protests in Chicago this weekend, ABC7 reports.
