A man now faces three felony charges after he allegedly shot at officers with the Brooklyn Park (MN) Police Department in the parking lot of a local Walmart store on Monday afternoon.

A man now faces three felony charges after he allegedly shot at officers with the Brooklyn Park (MN) Police Department in the parking lot of a local Walmart store on Monday afternoon.

According to Fox News, the man—identified as 32-year-old James Howard Klein—opened fire on Officer Charles Cudd and Officer Dane Lazenberry who had responded to a call for service at that location for reported shoplifting.

Klein is charged with two counts of first-degree assault of a peace officer and one count of possessing a firearm while having a previous conviction.
