According to Fox News, police attempted to perform a traffic stop on the man—identified as 23-year-old Leon Lloyd—for not having proper insurance when he took off at a high rate of speed.

Dash-cam video of the incident shows the blue Subaru Impreza crossing middle lines and weaving in and out of traffic in an attempt to make an escape.

The pursuit ended when the car's engine blew up and the car drifted to a stop.
