According to CBS News, following the hours-long standoff late last week in Philadelphia, eight-year-old Kaylee Byers decided to make handmade wristbands for officers with the department.

Since last summer, Kaylee has been giving away handmade black-and-blue bracelets to police officers across the globe, making more than 1,800 of the gifts over the past several years and posting her support for law enforcement on Facebook.
