Video: One-Legged Man Steals Tennessee Squad Car

A Tennessee man broke into a squad car belonging to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department in Jacksboro, TN, and drove the vehicle more than 200 miles until it ran out of gas in Williamson County.

A one-legged Tennessee man reportedly broke into a squad car belonging to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department in Jacksboro, TN, Sunday night and drove the vehicle more than 200 miles until it ran out of gas in Williamson County.

According to published reports, the man broke out the passenger window, found keys in the car, and drove it until it ran out of gas.

A deputy in Eastern Tennessee came upon a patrol vehicle parked on the side of the road with no lights activated, reports WKRN-TV.

He approached the vehicle and told the driver to exit. He quickly realized that the man was not a law enforcement officer and began to take him into custody.

The man—identified as 43-year-old Frank Ramsey—reportedly has a history of vandalism and public intoxication.
