Officers with the Pleasant Grove Police Department recently welcomed a new K-9—Django, a three-year-old German shepherd—to the ranks.
According to the Herald Correspondent, the agency's former K-9—Havoc—retired several months ago due to injuries.
Django will be paired with his handler, Corporal Chris Petersen for drug interdiction duties.
Purchase and training for Django and Petersen was funded by an organization called Honorary Colonels. The organization says it intends to raise funds to support the addition of another K-9 in the future.
