Video: Retiring Tennessee Officer Makes Final Radio Call to Dispatcher Daughter

After 25 years of service with the Chattanooga Police Department, Officer Austin Garrett signed off for the final time on Friday. Austin's daughter, Haley, was the Hamilton County 911 Emergency Communications District Dispatcher on the other end of that emotional call.

After 25 years of service to with the Chattanooga Police Department, Officer Austin Garrett signed off for the final time on Friday. Austin's daughter—Haley—was the Hamilton County 911 Emergency Communications District Dispatcher on the other end of that emotional call.

"Thank you for 25 years of service at the Chattanooga Police Department," Haley replied over the radio. "You've been a mentor and great friend to many during your career. We all wish you well in your future endeavors. Thank you for your hard work and dedication. I love you, Daddy."
