A judge in Louisiana has denied a motion to lower the bail amount for an officer with the Bossier City Police Department who faces 40 counts involving the sexual abuse of animals.

According to the Shreveport Times, bail in the amount of $350,000 will remain in place for 38-year-old Terry Yetman, who was arrested in late December.

Yetman faces 20 counts of sexual abuse of animals by performing sexual acts with an animal, and 20 counts of sexual abuse of animals by filming sexual acts with an animal.

He had been placed on paid administrative leave in November 2018 when the department was notified of the investigation being conducted by Louisiana State Police.
