Digital Ally's new handheld LaserAlly LIDAR System for vehicle speed detection is small, lightweight, and well balanced. It was designed in partnership with DragonEye Technology. LaserAlly features the ability to pinpoint the speed and direction of a vehicle in single- or multi-lane traffic, without regard to traffic congestion, and is housed in waterproof a ruggedized enclosure. Its anti-jamming technology defeats detectors and the device has a 6,000-foot maximum acquisition range and 1/3-second acquisition time. Two C-cell batteries provide up to a 32-hour battery life and the unit is upgradable in the field via a USB port. Production is scheduled to begin later this year.
