Attempted Kidnapping, Subsequent Police Pursuit, Turns Deadly in California

A dramatic police pursuit began in San Francisco on Sunday and ended in a fiery fatal crash in the East Bay city of Emeryville, according to CBS News.

The offenders then led police on a dramatic pursuit across the Bay Bridge and onto surface streets near the border of Emeryville and Oakland, where the car crashed into a utility pole and burst into flames.

Bystanders pulled the driver to safety, but the passenger died in the fire.
