Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck released surveillance video and images showing the suspect who ambushed two undercover detectives Tuesday morning outside the Wilshire Division station.
The 13-second video, which the agency posted on YouTube, shows a black man in his 30s wearing dark clothing and holding an object believed to be a gun, reports KTLA.
The two LAPD detectives, an 11-year and 20-year veteran, were ambushed as they entered the station in an unmarked police vehicle. The suspect opened fire from behind their car.
