This is a searchlight. It is designed to blast a wide beacon of daylight over a very long range. It just happens to be in a package small enough to carry with one hand. Considering most lights of this power are mounted to vehicles, that is truly impressive.

AE Light Color Filters
AE Light’s new color filters enhance the company’s HID PowerLight applications. Pictured are six filters: an IR filter for covert operations; amber to help penetrate smoke, fog, and dust; red for traffic control and better night vision; blue for forensics; green for signaling, traffic control, and aiding night vision; and a diffused lens to widen the beam to approximately 65 degrees for close-in operations. All color filters are designed to fit the PL24/6, PL24/6 Shorty, and PL14 models.

The new PL14 14-watt Power Light from AE Light produces more than 800 lumens of true white light in a compact beam, making it an optimal personal searchlight, ideal for law enforcement, border patrol, and search and rescue. The PL14 comes with a protective rubber lens and end caps to protect the device, and strap rings and a strap are included for easy carrying.

The AE Power Light from AE Light is designed for law enforcement, border patrol, and search-and-rescue applications. It’s made of black, hard-anodized extruded aluminum and illuminates objects with an HID lamp putting out 1200 lumens of 6000K light. It has a run time of 1.5 hours and a bulb life of more than 2,000 hours.
