Two Officers Killed, Two Wounded in West Memphis, Ark.
Two West Memphis Police officers were killed and two other law enforcement officers, including Crittenden County Sheriff Dick Busby, were shot today after two suspects were pulled over on a drug interdiction stop around noon on Interstate 40 at Airport Road. The two suspects were shot dead.

Thomas Wortham IV had returned from his second tour in Iraq. Wortham's father, a retired officer, attempted to help his son and shot two of the the attackers.

Michigan Officer, Suspect Killed in Shootout During Domestic Call
Jackson Officer James Bonneau was killed. Blackman Township Public Safety Officer Darrin McIntosh was shot in the lower body and taken to Allegiance Health. His wound is not believed to be life threatening.

Officer in Northern California Shootout Dies
Officer Javier Bejar, one of the victims in Thursday's officer-involved shooting in Minkler, Calif., has died. The member of the Reedley (Calif.) Police Department was taken off life support about 5:30 a.m., the department announced.

Massive Manhunt Launched After Shooting of N.J. Officer
Detailing the calamitous encounter, acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert Laurino today said several law enforcement agencies have formed a task force and launched a massive manhunt to find the people who shot Officer Gerald Veneziano. The officer remained hospitalized tonight in critical but stable condition at University Hospital in Newark.

Suspect in Pa. Trooper Ambush Found Dead in Home
A Pennsylvania state trooper responding to a domestic dispute in a rural neighborhood in Venango County was shot and killed yesterday as he got out of his car, and the man believed to be responsible for the shooting and his wife were later found dead inside their home.
