3M, Law Enforcement Cracking Down on N95 Mask Fraud
Both 3M and law enforcement are becoming more organized in their efforts to fight the fraud. 3M has set up a hotline, 800-426-8688, to help streamline its efforts and is investigating every instance it knows about, said Denise Rutherford, the company’s senior vice president of corporate affairs.

Revision Aided Sting Operation Against Chinese Counterfeit Ballistic Eyewear
Revision Military aided a sting operation to arrest owners and representatives of a Chinese company illegally manufacturing and selling counterfeit eyewear. Revision worked in conjunction with the Dearborn and Ohio County Prosecutor's Office in Indiana to execute this action.

The Justice Department and FBI will launch a new collaborative strategy to more closely partner with manufacturers in intellectual property enforcement and prosecution. The FBI will work to ensure that third party e-commerce marketplaces have the right analytical tools and techniques to combat intellectual property concerns on their websites.

Newark Police Chief Steven Sarver told the Columbus Dispatch the incident began when officers from the city’s special-operations group attempted to make an arrest using a warrant at a residence on Union St. just after noon. More Here.

Several uniformed and plainclothes officers tried to box his car in to arrest him, and the man jumped out of the car and fired a revolver at police, striking the one officer. He then ran across a parking lot.

The NYPD busted two men Monday on charges they were selling counterfeit Super Bowl tickets of such high quality that the fakes could have fooled the electronic scanners at the gates of MetLife Stadium.
