Troopers Report Many Motorcycle Riders to Blame For Fatal Collisions
New statistics from the Washington State Patrol show motorcycle riders are to blame in many fatal collisions. State troopers report 80 percent of fatal collisions are the fault of the rider and half of the accidents don't involve a second driver.

Rail Accident Sites Offer Serious Safety Hazards
On Sept. 28, 1989, a fire truck from the Catlett, Calif., Fire Department was struck by an Amtrak passenger train as the truck crossed a rural railroad right-of-way while responding to a vehicle fire. The truck was totally destroyed, and two firefighters aboard were killed.
