Many of the fixed blades built for law enforcement are designed for heavy-duty applications: cutting seat belts and harnesses, hacking through underbrush, breaking windows, prying open doors (not recommended), or they can even be used to puncture liquid containers. These uses will generally destroy any pocket knife you might carry.

This year, the law enforcement section of the show wound through both floors of the Sands Expo Center and into numerous ballrooms in the Venetian Hotel. SHOT Show 2011: Glock Adds Gen4 G21 In .45 ACP

Glock will release two more Gen4 pistols in 2011, including the G21 .45 ACP and G34 9mm pistol that will arrive in the summer. Glock will also release a new beaver-tail back strap to help larger-handed officers avoid slide bite.
