NJ Trio Named NLEOMF Officers of the Month
D’Alto and D’Elia arrived at the scene and assisted Triano in rescuing the driver from the burning vehicle. After dousing the flames, both D’Alto and D’Elia were able to pull the driver out before flames started to spread to the interior cabin.

National Law Enforcement Museum Places New Emphasis on Honoring Police
“The board of directors decided that we exist to honor law enforcement. So, we went through the museum, and we removed anything that did not have to do with honoring law enforcement,” Ferranto says. “Any label, any exhibit that did not directly honor professional law enforcement was either edited or removed.”

During a heavy snow storm in January 2022, Officer Gonzalez was at a convenience store and shoveled snow for a cashier who could not do so. The Museum houses 300 years of American law enforcement history, including several immersive and interactive experiences. The latest temporary exhibit, "Post-9/11: The Evolution of American Law Enforcement," allows visitors to learn more about the significant changes to U.S. law enforcement in the aftermath of 9/11.

National Law Enforcement Memorial and Museum to Host "Weekend of Remembrance" October 10-11, 2020
The Weekend of Remembrance includes a memorial service and live reading of the names of 135 law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2019, plus the names of 172 officers who died in previous years but whose stories of sacrifice had been lost to history until now, and whose names were engraved on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial walls in May 2020. The ceremony will be live-streamed on the Memorial's Facebook page beginning at 10 a.m. (EDT) on Sunday Oct. 11.
