Phoenix Officers Injured in Ambush on Vehicle, Both Expected to Recover
The incident began when two officers were trying to conduct a traffic stop in the area. The driver took off but was later found by officers who attempted to stop the car again. As they were driving along, someone standing on the side of the road opened fire and hit the patrol vehicle multiple times.

AZ Police Shoot and Kill Man Armed with Replica Handgun
Police said the man then pointed what was believed to be a handgun into the air before lowering it toward officers. Two officers fired their duty weapons and struck the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
