Charles Connolly is serving a sentence of up to 150 years in prison for the murder of Chicago police officer Tom Kelly, 26, and the wounding of his partner, Officer Tom Neustrom, 23, during a traffic stop in March 1970. The two were on a break to pick up tuxedos for Kelly's upcoming wedding.

Accused Seattle Cop Killer Demands Reporter's Notes from Jailhouse Interviews
Christopher Monfort, 41, stands accused in a series of attacks on Seattle police culminating in the slaying of Officer Tim Brenton in an Oct. 31 ambush. Brenton's partner, Officer Britt Sweeney, was wounded in the attack; Monfort was shot during his arrest days later at his Tukwila apartment.

On Oct. 27, 1967, Michael Gargano and two other men unleashed a torrent of gunfire at police officers during a robbery at the Northlake Bank in Northlake, Ill., killing Detective Sgt. John Nagle and Officer Anthony Perri. Two other officers were wounded.

Investigators for hours questioned and then released the driver, 22-year-old Cortnee Nicole Brantley, with no charges Tuesday night. The shooting suspect — identified as Dontae Rashawn Morris, a 24-year-old felon with a lengthy rap sheet — remained on the loose early this morning.

Police have detained Cortnee' Nicole Brantley, 22, to determine the location of passenger Dontae Rashawn Morris, 24. Morris is now wanted on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Teen Who Killed Sacramento Deputy Permanently Removed From Society
Jimmy Siackisorn ambushed Deputy Vu Nguyen during a foot pursuit. The deputy was pursuing the "young but prolific lawbreaker" through the back yards of a tough south Sacramento neighborhood. Siackisorn shot the deputy an top of a chicken coop.
