“The board of directors decided that we exist to honor law enforcement. MA Officer Named NLEOMF Officer of the Month for Water Save
With the woman screaming that she could not swim, Flynn radioed in a request for help and without hesitation jumped into the 40-degree water to assist the distressed woman. Flynn was able to successfully grab the woman and then swam with her to a nearby sea wall.

The Museum houses 300 years of American law enforcement history, including several immersive and interactive experiences. The latest temporary exhibit, "Post-9/11: The Evolution of American Law Enforcement," allows visitors to learn more about the significant changes to U.S. law enforcement in the aftermath of 9/11.

Candlelight Vigil Honoring 701 Fallen Officers to be Held Thursday Night
In the law enforcement community, 62 % of deaths in 2020 were a result of COVID-19 (there were 295 deaths in 2020 that the memorial approved and out of 295, 182 were COVID-19. No officers died in 2019 from COVID, as it was not a pandemic and officers were not dying until 2020 when it was labeled a pandemic.

Virtual Candlelight Vigil for Fallen Officers to be Held on YouTube Thursday
This year’s virtual Candlelight Vigil will honor the 394 fallen officers whose names will be engraved onto the Memorial this year. Due to increased officer fatalities during the COVID-19 pandemic, NLEOMF said it has expanded the Memorial sooner than anticipated.
