Gang Member's Rental Car Reached 110 MPH Before CHP Tasered Him

Officers later found a stolen .44-Magnum handgun in the trunk of his rented Ford Mustang.

A gang member led California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed pursuit, reaching speeds of 110 mph before jumping from his moving vehicle and being Tasered by officers, the Press Democrat reports.

Officers pulled the man over in a Santa Rosa parking lot, suspecting he was drunk. Instead of surrendering, the man took off, leading the officers on the pursuit. He was caught when a Taser barb hit him during a foot pursuit with officers.
