About 3,200 federal police officers who haven't been doing their jobs or are linked with organized crime have been fired since May, according the a top law enforcement official in that country.

Of those, 465 have been charged with crimes. An additional 1,020 officers face disciplinary proceedings for failing confidence exams, CNN reports.
