San Diego Officer Charged with Felony for Officer-Involved Shooting
At his arraignment yesterday, San Diego officer Frank White pleaded not guilty to one felony count of grossly negligent discharge of a firearm and one misdemeanor count of exhibiting a firearm. The first charge carries two enhancements for causing great bodily injury to Silva and her son. He faces up to nine years in prison if convicted.

Philadelphia Youth Pleads Guilty in Officers' Shooting
A 17-year-old pleaded guilty yesterday to attempted murder and related charges for shooting and wounding two Philadelphia narcotics officers trying to serve a search warrant at the East Frankford house in which he lived.
In addition to two counts of attempted murder, Donyea Phillips pleaded guilty to 10 counts of recklessly endangering another person for 10 officers who were on the raid but not shot, as well as six counts involving drugs or guns.

A retired Lancaster, S.C., police officer remained hospitalized Monday after he was shot in the face while attempting to assist the victims of a car wreck. Lancaster detectives believe Ray Knight unknowingly stumbled upon the suspects from an earlier robbery.

Jody Weis stepped in front of reporters and news cameras and blamed the parents of 8-year-old Josue Torres for his shooting, a few jaws in the public-relations world may have dropped.
