On-Duty NYPD Officer Assaulted in Bronx Bodega, Gun Taken

The NYPD says three people seen in surveillance video assaulted the officer when he stopped at a bodega on the Grand Concourse before work Saturday morning.

A man and two teenagers were arrested after police say they attacked an off-duty police officer and stole his gun in the Bronx.

The officer's gun fell to the ground during the struggle, NY1 reports.

Police say a 15-year-old who took part in the attack ran off with the gun.

He was arrested a short time later, along with 32-year-old Tyrone Selby and 17-year-old Adrian Medina.

The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
