A New Jersey police officer allegedly send explicit texts and photos to a 12-year-old girl in a family he had assisted on another police matter.

Woodland Park Police Officer Steven Vigorito Jr. has pleaded not guilty to charges ranging from attempted aggravated sexual assault to luring and enticing a child.

The girl's parents contacted the department. Detectives launched a sting, posing as the girl and contacting Officer Vigorito, reports the Associated Press.
