A national sheriff of the year was arrested in Colorado in a drug sting attempting to exchange drugs for sex.

Patrick Sullivan, 68, was the National Sheriff's Association's "Sheriff of the Year" in 2001. Sullivan was being held on $250,000 bail in the Arapahoe County jail that bears his name, the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility, reports KUSATV.

The investigation began Nov. 17, when deputies got tips Sullivan was distributing methamphetamine.
