Auto-Vehicle Locator

COPsync has released an Auto-Vehicle Locator (AVL) module for its COPsync software. This integrated software product provides a real-time, nationwide information collection and sharing network for law enforcement officers. The COPsync AVL provides typical mapping features to officers in the field, but also displays a map with the current location of all officers as they move about on patrol. Officers’ speed, direction, and current activity are provided in real time. A key feature is the ability to select an area on a map and instantly send a message notification to every officer within that area. This strengthens the ability of COPsync to send immediate, real-time information to a large number of officers, regardless of their jurisdiction.
