Decatur Releases REMS Grant Packages for Schools
Decatur Electronics, Inc., manufacturer of speed radar enforcement products for law enforcement, released special school and public safety packages today for REMS educational grant recipients.
Decatur Electronics, Inc., the oldest manufacturer of speed radar enforcement products for law enforcement agencies worldwide, released special school and public safety packages today for REMS educational grant recipients.
The Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools grants, or REMS, are awarded to school districts around the nation. The special funding ensures districts have the ability to purchase public safety resources necessary for protecting children in classrooms and on campuses around the country.
Decatur's REMS grant package extends district grant dollars even further and focuses on traffic enforcement and surveillance.
Safety has always been Decatur's first concern, says Kris Pearson, director of marketing for Decatur.
"Providing these packages to schools at special REMS prices allows us to partner with schools," he says. "Districts and local law enforcement can protect the children in their care."
The package offered provides schools with the ability to enforce safe speeds and to track traffic patterns. Districts and schools will be able to collect and export data in easy to read charts. Decatur's new Shadow digital video system provides simple surveillance and school video for any vehicle or stationary application.
