C4i Upgrades SwitchPlusIP To Manage Radio Calls

The latest version of SwitchPlusIP builds on the personal phone book and other features introduced earlier this year to provide a radio activity log, integrated voting, and remote control of Tait TB8100 radios.

C4i Inc. has released the sixth version of its award winning SwitchPlusIP product with several upgraded features, according to the company.

The latest version of SwitchPlusIP builds on the personal phonebook and other features introduced earlier this year to provide a radio activity log, integrated voting and remote control of Tait TB8100 radios.

"The Activity Log benefits the user and the maintainer [who] can use this information to assist with system fault finding," according to Brad Kay, C4i's president. "The data can be exported to reports to enable system administrators to analyze activity levels over a period of time to assist with staffing."

Also, the improvements allow reconfiguration of remote radios from a central location; the Configuration Module enhancements allow the system administrator/maintainer to more easily customize the system to meet the specific needs of his or her users, and to provide a tailored user interface from a COTS product.

"Integrated voting eliminates the need for additional external equipment-saving cost, space and power," according to Kay. "By providing a voting function through software, a greater degree of flexibility is delivered, so that voting groups can be re-configured without re-wiring."

The upgrade also includes TAIT TB81000 support to meet specific requirements of port authority customers.
