Pryme Radio Brings Next-Gen GPS-4100P GPS Speaker Mic
The device can send data reports over any uncompressed voice radio channel, allowing the dispatch operator to monitor the locations of officers in the field.

Pryme Radio has introduced its next-generation GPS-4100P speaker microphone that operates as a remote speaker microphone and also contains a GPS receiver and FSK modem, according to the company.
"As an innovative leader in professional two way accessory industry, Pryme is always increasing the numbers of technical inventions," according to Dave George, president of Pryme Radio.
The device can send data reports over any uncompressed voice radio channel, allowing the dispatch operator to monitor the locations of officers in the field.
The GPS-4100P has been upgraded with an integrated USB port, programmable auxiliary button, and an internal GPS antenna. It includes Pryme's CheckPoint mapping program and software. Additional features include an alarm button that alerts dispatch of the device's location during an emergency, and water-resistant construction.
The devices don't require additional channels or licensing, and there's no monthly fee for real-time GPS tracking. The GPS-4100P works with virtually any two-way radio. Location reporting features include polling (reporting requested by the operator); push-to-talk (reporting when the user sends a voice transmission); elapsed time (reporting after a pre-programmed time); relative distance (reporting if unit has moved a predetermined distance from its last location); fixed distance (alerting when a user moves outside a programmed perimeter); base-enabled (allowing the viewing of reports graphically.
