South Carolina Agencies Launch UAV Surveillance Program

Two South Carolina law enforcement agencies launched a surveillance program, using employing radio-controlled helicopters to gather intelligence in locations considered too hazardous for law enforcement officers.

The Ariel Intelligence and Response (A.I.R.) program will be a joint program by the Richland County Sheriff's Department and Columbia Police Department. The agencies unveiled the radio-controlled unmanned craft at a press conference on Tuesday, reports WLTX.
