A free smartphone app called "I'm Getting Arrested" allows Wall Street protesters to send out a broadcast message to friends when they're getting arrested by an officer.
The app, which is available for Android devices, was created by a Brooklyn software developer who is sympathetic to the protests. Jason Van Anden said a colleague suggested the idea when his girlfriend was about to be arrested so he could be aware of her situation.
The app allows a user to send out a mass text message with one click.
