The Gwinnett County (Ga.) Public Schools (GCPS) announced it has selected PTS Solutions as its new public safety software provider. The district's Office of Safety and Security will use the new software to dispatch officers and to track and report incidents that occur in the school system.
"We were looking for an integrated CAD and record management system that would enable us to track incidents and better utilize our limited resources to enhance our ability to provide a safe and secure learning environment, said Wayne Rikard, GCPS Chief of Police, in a release. "PTS Solutions will allow us to quickly locate and share critical information with other state and local agencies fulfilling our commitment to interagency cooperation."
A quality computer-aided dispatch and incident reporting system are a necessity in this modern age of police reporting. The PTS software suite will provide the Office of Safety and Security an opportunity to link calls for service to dates, times, people and offenses.
"We are very pleased that Gwinnett County Public Schools selected our public safety software for use in their school system," said Dave Fuqua, president of PTS. "We are looking forward to the training and implementation phases of the project so the Office of Safety and Security can begin documenting and accessing the information they need to keep their schools, communities and people safe and informed."
