RealView's CommandScope technology will be installed at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Detroit Downtown-Fort Shelby to help protect the guests, staff and property in emergency situations, the company announced.
CommandScope gives Detroit’s first responders instant on-site access to site plans, floor plans, hazardous material details, utility shut-off locations, geographical maps, fire hydrants locations, persons with special needs, guests and residents, and other important information.
The pre-plan data will be on a touch-screen computer in the lobby as well as on the mobile data computers in Detroit Police Department vehicles. It will replace paper-based emergency action plans and manuals. The information is shareable across organizations and city departments and is updated in real-time, allowing first responders to execute emergency procedures upon arrival.
The technology will improve first responders' ability to save lives, limit injuries and reduce property damage in cases of emergency, according to the company.
CommandScope's technical standards adhere to the requirements of both the National Fire Protection Associations and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s National Incident Management System (NIMS).
