Police agencies in California are getting closer to acquiring and deploying new technology that can reportedly detect the presence of TCH in the system of drivers suspected of driving under the influence.
According to the Sacramento Bee , Hound Labs—an Oakland-based firm—expects to release its first generation marijuana breathalyzer in the second half of 2020. Another firm based in Canada is also on pace to introduce a marijuana breathalyzer to the market.
