WatchGuard Video's 4RE HD Wireless In-Car Video System offers more than three times the image resolution of conventional systems. It first records onto an automotive-grade hard drive, and then onto a secure USB flash drive. Video files can be uploaded wirelessly using an industrial grade 802.11n antenna. File uploads, configuration updates, and firmware upgrades are fully automatic and "hands-free" to the officer. The system's high-fidelity wireless microphone records clear audio, which can be extremely important in capturing audio for evidence.

Like Digital Ally's new DVM-100, the DVM-400 was designed for budget-constrained law enforcement entities, but provides greater camera control by adding an external infrared forward 10x zoom camera and rear-seat camera. The system also features high-quality H.264 video, pre-event recording, covert mode, metadata, remote and automatic start, redundant recording, wireless and integrated microphones, USB and SD card, software, and more.

Rather than modifying an in-car system, Kustom Signals' Road Warrior is specifically designed to withstand the harsh environmental conditions of a police motorcycle. The DVR and wireless audio base mount securely in the saddle bag, while the waterproof controller and camera are integrated at the front of the bike for simple and safe operation.

Panasonic's Toughbook Arbitrator 360 is an in-car digital video system that can support up to six cameras in one law enforcement vehicle for comprehensive evidence capture. PWLite from Patrol Witness features fanless operation, ultra-low power consumption, extended operating temperature ranges, and a high level of security encryption from recording to storage and retrieval of video, audio, and metadata to preserve the integrity of recorded evidence. The system is simple to install, easy to operate, and is backed with a one-year warranty. It’s also upgradable to PW-III, which includes HandsFree wireless upload, redundant video storage, and a three-year warranty.

VersaCam from MPH Industries is a complete portable video evidence collection system. Its solid-state video recorder can be quickly removed from the vehicle to record activity and evidence elsewhere. Recording can be easily initiated manually by the officer, or automatically by the siren or any other trigger. Audio is recorded from the internal microphone and the wireless beltpack. Back-end cataloging software is included.

L-3 Mobile-Vision's Flashback2 CycleVision enables motorcycle patrols to record the same critical video and audio evidence that patrol cars capture. The lightweight and ultra-compact design allows for installation flexibility while the high-quality D1 video captures clear, detailed video footage. Cycle Vision also features low power consumption and a shockproof solid-state design to protect digital evidence for motor units.
