The 5.11 Tactical LMC Recurve is a mid-size folder that cuts like a big knife but is small enough to fit comfortably in a pocket. Lightweight and portable, the LMC Recurve measures 4.25 inches closed and 7.5 inches open. The utilitarian knife features a recurve blade with a plain edge. It is ideal for everyday cutting jobs. The finger coil at the base of the blade allows for total control while the textured FRN scales offer optimal grip. The V-hole in the blade provides instant one-hand operation. The Benchmade Nim Cub II fits most agency policies with its 3.5-inch blade and tang that are one piece. For a solid grip, Benchmade uses Noryl GTX, which is also tough and capable of surviving most chemicals you could come in contact with on duty. Many of the fixed blades built for law enforcement are designed for heavy-duty applications: cutting seat belts and harnesses, hacking through underbrush, breaking windows, prying open doors (not recommended), or they can even be used to puncture liquid containers. 5.11 Tactical's XPRT has a simple 3.75-inch clip point blade with a recurve edge that provides a long and strong cutting edge. Its Crucible CPM S30V blade steel is tough, holds an edge, and sharpens easily. The blade and all hardware are black oxide coated to reduce reflections and enhance corrosion resistance, while the scaled G10 handle is scalloped to give you a solid grip. What makes this knife different is how the liner lock and frame protrude from the rear of the knife to give you an impact weapon or glass breaker.
